“South Facing” a compilation album that looks forwards, backwards and sideways but always faces south.....
The next Kennington Recordings release will be a compilation called ‘South Facing’. We have finished making (and bleeding over) the hand crafted CD's and everything is set for the release date of 25th May 2009. The compilation will be available digitally and also as an extremely limited edition, hand crafted CD, with sublime artwork by our good friend Sam Wilson.
The compilation is a jolly mix of old and new, with lots of exclusive tracks including a never heard before Team LG song and the first chance to hear our new friends Treblecat, Deekie and Mariana Ricardo all of whom are busy working on their debut albums for Kennington Recordings.....
‘South Facing’ also has a track from Leander taken from their excellent Pass Fail album, electronic goodness from Pilote and Acacia, Homespun folk from Mit Tremble Kids, a bit of drama from Mr L & The Goth, a ten minute accordion epic from Directorsound and a recording of My Two Toms from when they played the Doghouse and the legend that is Three Strings OMG! We are truly not worthy….....
